The Mountain Star uses innovative performance changing fabrics/design to reduce weight and increase stability. The unique pole system on this tent is positioned outside the rain fly like an exoskeleton that minimizes overall weight while increasing performance. This design also eliminates the classic struggle to attach a rain fly in high wind and rain. Having the pole system on the exterior of the tent fly allows for a quicker setup and takedown which is critical when time can be precious in the mountains facing the wrath of Mother Nature.

This 2 person tent features two large vestibules that can be rolled up or down to keep your gear and food protected from the elements during storms. The oversized entrance door is also easily accessible even when the tent is pitched in a steep angle. The high bathtub floor helps to keep puddles from forming inside the tent and the two vents provide adequate ventilation. This tent is easy to pitch and offers double walled protection for a 3-season tent.

The Mountain Star is offered with your choice of industry leading Easton carbon fiber or aluminum poles. The carbon fiber poles are lighter than aluminum but just as strong and feature a superior strength-to-weight ratio. Choosing the carbon fiber option on this tent saves a few ounces of weight while still providing an outstanding tent support system.\
